Snowcap

Exploring distance with Inspire Pro.  Mobile Illustration remains my favorite thing to do in my free time (which is rare).  I love listening to Film Scores from various composers on Pandora while painting.  I’m still experimenting with the Inspire toolset and getting used to what I can do with the program.  I’ve made it a priority to list features and bugs I come up with to supply feedback for KiwiPixel (creators of Inspire Pro). Sonata Chapter 1

The Sonata, Chapter 1, is the first illustration in a series of Mobile Illustrations to capture Beethoven’s “Moonlight” Piano Sonata No. 14 in C-sharp minor ”Quasi una fantasia”.  I really like to let the music create the painting, and not my thoughts.  This is a really cool exercise of listening inspiration.  I am in no position to explain the story behind this series… (more…)

Follow Through

I’m really excited to get into illustration on the iPad!  This was created through a series of early morning breakfasts one week before work.  I’m still getting used to the brushes, as well as not having the luxury of a Wacom tablet with pressure sensitivity. (more…)

Sleepwalk

Whoa my first ever Inspire Pro painting on the iPad!  Really love this tool.  Learning how to use the iPad as a sketching tool is actually more difficult that I originally thought.  Might be my stylus tho, I’ll have to invest in a nicer one so I can remove all of the crap so I can focus on my creations.
